How do you steam a larger rug??

Can I use my carpet steamer or the floor or do I need the weight of the iron?

BHR (Big Honkin Rug) is Finally done!!!

1 yr and 11 months to finish this challenge and I am finally done! Now to bind and hang. I am pleased with it for the most part and happy to get rid of all those leftover strips, but still seem to have tons left.
